Work/Poster

UNITED KINGDOM; UNITED IN DISCRIMINATION, RACISM, DIVISION, INEQUALITY, INJUSTICE.

Instead of looking into a mirror and seeing your societal issues and faults, the government and nearly everyone blames it on immigration. Besides the Rwanda act—now, in an act of desperation—they’re targeting legal migrants as well.

Overseas care workers can’t bring dependants, international students might lose post-graduation work opportunities, and even skilled workers or family visas face a new, unreasonably high salary requirements—exceeding the UK’s median wage, and increasing the IHS fees (you know, we migrants pay £££ and fund your beloved NHS as part of the visa process?)

This country is a joke with your cruel, hostile policies and views against humans from another side of the world, who’s just trying to live.

What: they, really, dont, want, us, here, 2024.

For: Personal view on the state of this country, after living here for 4 years.

NOVEMBER 2021

DESIGN RATIONALE:

This was designed with the idea that it’s a a small handbook on various topics of death.

The body text from start will be filled with information and good-to-know, pretty boring stuff, yawn. It’s at page 100 where you’ll see the slow descent into madness and death—with vision being corrupted with each passing page; dingbats type being used interchangeably with regular latin to show the brain’s starting to fry up, and finally in the midpoint where the brain has passed over to the other side (wherever that is), complete dingbats type because you’re not supposed to understand that realm at all. Why page 100? Life expectancy on average is 100 years old, and also if you look at it in percentage form—the person has reached 100% of it’s life. Time to die now!

Besides the brain, the graphic of the bug will slowly be morphed back to normal at the end, while the brain has deformed and transformed into an orb of energy.

Circle of life, reincaranation, whatever.
